Customer Declaration
By engaging with SolarThoughts Pty Ltd , trading as “SolarThoughts™,” you declare that:
- You are over the legal age of 18 years.
- You are one of the registered owners of the property at the installation address and your name is on the title deed of the Installation Address.
- You have never received or been approved for any rebate, financial assistance, solar credit, or Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) for a small generation solar power system at the Installation Address.
Payment & STCs
SolarThoughts™ requires final payment before the day of installation by Credit Card, Cheque, or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT).
You agree to pay SolarThoughts™ the value of STCs as part payment for your system. In case you are not eligible for STCs, complete payment is due before installation.
You acknowledge that failure to pay any amount due may result in additional charges and legal action.
Authority of Access to Property
You authorize SolarThoughts™ and its contractors to access your property at all reasonable times to carry out work associated with the installation of your solar system.
Liabilities and Risk
Ownership and insurance risk of the PV solar system passes to you upon installation and full payment is received by SolarThoughts™.
SolarThoughts™ accepts no liability for STCs incentives or feed-in tariff incentives administered by relevant authorities.
SolarThoughts™ is not responsible for any damage or loss caused to your property unless due to installer negligence.
Meter, Meterbox & Switchboard Upgrade
Customers may be charged for meter and switchboard upgrades as government regulations require.
Costs for wiring or associated work required for meterbox or switchboard upgrades are not included in the quoted price and must be arranged separately.
Delivery and Installation
SolarThoughts™ will make reasonable efforts to install your system in a timely manner but is not liable for delays beyond its control.
You must be present during installation or arrange for an authorized adult to be present.
Standard Installation Definition
Solar System Standard Installation: Single storey, tin roof, within a 200km radius of Brisbane CBD. Meter box upgrades are not considered standard installation.
Battery System Standard Installation: Standard installation for batteries does not include backup circuits or bollards. If the battery system is installed outdoors, customers must supply pavers if necessary.
Privacy Policy
By engaging with SolarThoughts™, you agree to provide necessary personal information for the efficient functioning of our services.
Your information may be provided to contractors, employees, and relevant authorities as required.
Product Warranties
The system comes with up to 10 years’ workmanship warranty from SolarThoughts™ in conjunction with the manufacturer’s warranty.
Cooling Off Period
You are entitled to a cooling-off period of ten (10) working days, where required by law. All notifications must be received in writing.
Flexible Payment Plan
Fees and lending criteria apply for Flexible Payment Plan Options with approved applicants only.
Termination
SolarThoughts™ may terminate the contract if terms are not abided by or due to delays in the process causing supplier prices to increase.
Customers may terminate the agreement within the first 10 days of the quote date.
